Chadwick Boseman’s Wife Gives Powerful Tribute At 2021 Golden Globes

After he won a posthumous award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama, Chadwick Boseman's wife gave a powerful tribute at the 2021 Golden Globes that beautifully honored her late husband and brought viewers to tears.

"He would thank God," his wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, said in the acceptance speech. "He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and sacrifices."

Boseman died in August at 43 following a four-year battle with colon cancer. The actor passed with his family and wife by his side, and Ledward got the chance to speak about her husband at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards. She honored him by talking about how he would accept the award for his role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

"He would say something beautiful," she continued. "Something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice that tells you that you can, that tells you to keep going, that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing. What you are meant to be doing at this moment in history."

"I don't have his words," Ledward said. "But we have to take all the moments to celebrate those we love."

Ledward previously accepted an award for her husband at the 2021 Gotham Awards in January, where she spoke about his character, according to TODAY. "He is the most honest person I've ever met," she said. "Because he didn't stop himself from speaking his truth, he actively searched for it in himself, in those around him, and in the moment. The truth can be a very easy thing for the self to avoid, but if one does not live in truth, then it's impossible to live in line with a divine purpose."

Ledward once again spoke her late husband's truth at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night and she did it so beautifully.

How To Watch ‘Minari’ — A Tale Of The American Dream

Winner of the 2021 Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture — Foreign Language, Minari is the powerful story of a Korean American family relocating and working to make their home in the Ozarks. Wondering how to watch Minari? It is available on quite a few streaming services if you're willing to pay. The movie is still rather new, so if you're just looking to rent it for a few bucks, it may be best to wait.

Minari tells the tale of the Yi family, a Korean American family that chases its own version of the American Dream on an Arkansas farm. Suffice it to say, the life change brings with it a slew of challenges that the Yis face and overcome in the Ozarks. It is through these experiences that the family learns how strong they are together and what makes a house a home.

The powerful film brought home the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture in a foreign language, but the nomination alone caused a bit of a controversy. Critics argue that the film was not correctly categorized, as it is an American film written and directed by an American man. Additionally, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association determined that it was ineligible for Best Picture, forcing it into the foreign language category and raising powerful questions about racism in Hollywood. Actor Daniel Dae Kim described it as "the film equivalent of being told to go back to your country when that country is actually America."

Whether you're looking for representation on the screen or wanting to get a bit more reference for understanding the surrounding controversy, there are a few ways to watch one of the most talked about films of this year.

Minari is currently available to rent and/or watch on the following platforms: Amazon Prime Video, iTunes and Apple TV, Google Play video, on the streaming service Vudu, through the Fandango site, Xbox, and the Redbox digital app.

No matter how you choose to watch, Minari is sure to open your eyes to the experience of Korean American immigrants and struggling families alike.

Kids Honored Chadwick Boseman At The 2021 Golden Globes So Sweetly

After his sad death last year, kids honored Chadwick Boseman at the 2021 Golden Globes in a super sweet way.

TikTok user La'Ron Hines and a group of young kids appeared in a hilarious segment during the 2021 Golden Globes, where they paid tribute to the late Black Panther star who died in August after a battle with colon cancer. In the segment, Hines asked a group of kids (who attend his parents' day care center and often appear in his viral TikTok videos) questions about the nominees at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.

While the kids did not know how movies are made (who does?) and did not know what The Queen's Gambit is about ("firetrucks," one kid responded), they were able to answer one question with precise accuracy. "Who is Chadwick Boseman?" Hines asked them.

"The Black Panther!" they responded.

"Chadwick Boseman is the good guy!" one kid added.

They are so right. Boseman played the Marvel superhero in the 2018 film, Black Panther, in addition to appearing in other Marvel films like Avengers: Infinity War and Captain America: Civil War. In addition to his role as King T'Challa, Boseman also appeared in a number of iconic roles and was nominated for a 2021 Golden Globe Award for his leading role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

Out of all of the nominees to honor, Boseman was the perfect choice.

The kids' enthusiasm while talking about Boseman and his role shows just how much of an impact he had, and proves that his legacy will continue to live on, long after his death.

As one Twitter user put it perfectly: "Kids are soooo funny, but to see they ALL knew who Chadwick Boseman was is only a testament to how extraordinary, wonderful, and amazing he truly was!"

So perfectly stated.

Nicole Kidman's Daughters Make Rare Appearance At 2021 Golden Globes

Many celebs tuned in to the 2021 Golden Globes remotely with their families by their sides. Surprisingly, Nicole Kidman's daughters made a rare appearance — sitting alongside their mom and dad on camera. The Kidman-Urban crew tends to be more on the private side, so getting to see the girls was a real treat for fans of the famous fam.

Jeff Daniels At The 2021 Golden Globes Has Twitter Making Jokes

Some celebrities took the freedom of attending an award show at home seriously than others on Sunday. This is why Jeff Daniels at the 2021Golden Globes had people on Twitter talking. He took this freedom and ran with it, choosing to wear a flannel shirt over a tuxedo, and hanging in what can only be described as the basement guest room.

The 2021 Golden Globe Awards skipped over the red carpet, due to the coronavirus pandemic, allowing nominees to attend the awards show from the comfort of their own homes. While some still chose to get dressed up, others took the word comfortable a little too seriously, like Daniels.

The 66-year-old actor and dad of three knows his way around a red carpet — he has been nominated for a Golden Globe award five times since 1986. So you can't blame him for wanting to sit this year out. Daniels, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Television Motion Picture for his role as James Comey in The Comey Rule, appeared during his category wearing a button up flannel shirt in an unidentified room in his home.

Not only did he look comfortable, he looked super happy. Twitter users, of course, took note of this.

It's Always Called "The Computer Room"

It's never "the study" or "the spare room where we keep the electronics."

A Well Earned Snack

I'm sure the popcorn was delicious, too.

Leslie Odom Jr. Is Preparing For Baby #2 During The Golden Globes

Taking home two Golden Globes may not compare to bringing home a new baby, but it has to feel good. Leslie Odom Jr. is expecting baby number two and during his Golden Globes pre-show interview, he shared that he and his wife are "weeks away" from welcoming their second child. In the midst of his excitement over being a dual-nominee, the proud dad took the opportunity to gush about his growing family.

"We're weeks away. We're like, 3 weeks away," he said. "We're trying to store up sleep. Is that a scientific thing? Can I get as much sleep now, and then like a bank? Withdraw on it later?" Odom is already dad to his adorable 3½-year-old Lucille "Lucy" Ruby, but he and wife Nicolette Robinson are clearly busy preparing for the new baby boy.

Back in November, Odom told People that Lucy is still coming around to the idea of being a big sister. "She's so protective of Mama. She speaks to Mama's tummy and says, 'Good morning, little baby.' It's great to see," he said at the time. "It's a very useful thing as a parent; when she's not being the most mature version of herself, we remind her that there's a baby coming and she's got to be a big sister ... she's got to show him the way."

But now that some time has passed and the new baby will be here very soon, hopefully Lucy is ready. As for Odom and Robinson, they're focusing on getting in all the sleep they can get.

Odom took home an impressive two Golden Globes for his work on the film One Night in Miami. But the singer and actor is on his way to bringing home something even more exciting — a brand new baby. Congratulations to the family for all of the wonderful things coming their way!

January Jones & Kiernan Shipka Wore Golden Globes Looks Again

In honor of the 2021 Golden Globes, actresses January Jones and Kiernan Shipka wore Golden Globes looks, again, 10 years later.

The Mad Men actresses, who played mother and daughter on the TV show, posted photos of themselves to Instagram wearing the exact same looks that they wore to the 2011 Golden Globe Awards. And, as expected, they look amazing. "10 years later and it still, (sorta), fits," Jones captioned the photo.

In 2011, Jones matched the red carpet wearing the stunning, scarlet-hued Versace gown with a plunging neckline to the Golden Globes. While it doesn't look like much has changed since then,

Amanda Seyfried’s 2021 Golden Globes Look Was Toddler-Approved

Stylin' and profilin', with a little help — Amanda Seyfried's 2021 Golden Globes look got some help from the actress's 3-year-old daughter. There's a lot of work that goes into getting ready for an event like the Golden Globes, but this proud mom got some help from her toddler Nina. Seyfried was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Marian Davies in Mank. And while the show was attended virtually by many viewers, nominees ,and presenters alike; stars didn't miss the opportunity to get all dolled up.

In her Instagram Story before the show, Seyfried shared a photo of her daughter Nina brushing her hand with a makeup brush. "I wouldn't let her do my makeup tonight so she brushed my hand," Seyfried wrote on the post. And her time with Nina didn't end after they were getting ready. During her pre-show interview, Seyfried shared that she was watching the Golden Globes in a hotel with her family and her team. "I wouldn't be able to be here with my kids if I were there on the red carpet," she told interviewer Zuri Hall.

Seyfried's Golden Globe-nominated film transports viewers to the Golden Age of Hollywood as the witty — and often intoxicated — screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz works to finish Citizen Kane. Seyfried glows on screen as Marian Davies and her glamorous Golden Globes look reflected the elegance that she brought to the film.

With an audience packed with "smoking hot first responders," Seyfried and the lengthy list of other nominees watched the awards from their homes — or hotels. But the upside is getting to involve little ones in the process. Talk about a family affair.

The 5 Best Baby Shampoos

Regardless of whether your baby has a full head of hair or just a bit of fuzz, you’ll want to use one of the best baby shampoos in order to keep their scalp clean. The best choices are gentle enough for babies, which means they’re free of harsh ingredients like parabens, phthalates, dyes, and sulfates which can potentially be irritating to delicate skin. Also be sure to choose a shampoo that’s labelled "tear-free," meaning it shouldn't irritate your baby’s eyes even if it accidentally ends up in them. Pay attention to whether or not the shampoo has fragrance — you may enjoy how your baby smells after using a fragranced shampoo, but you may prefer to avoid fragrances if your baby has sensitive skin, since fragrance can cause allergic reactions or make skin overly dry.

Many baby shampoos tout other benefits that are worthy of attention. Some have the ability to prevent or reduce cradle cap thanks to ingredients like salicylic acid, while others are super hydrating because of ingredients like ceramides. Some shampoos are specifically designed for eczema-prone skin, boasting the National Eczema Association (NEA)'s seal of acceptance. While buzzwords like “hypoallergenic” and “natural” may look good on the bottle, there isn’t any federal regulation around using either term, so a fragrance-free shampoo with that NEA seal might be a safer pick if your baby has sensitive skin. If using vegan products is important to you, there are baby shampoos that don’t use any ingredients derived from animals available. Finally, many baby shampoos also double as a body wash, so keep an eye out for those if you'd rather not worry about switching products halfway through your bath-time ritual.

Parents on Amazon indicate that they love using these five baby shampoos to make their little ones squeaky clean without irritation. The products are all specifically designed for babies, so they’re designed with gentleness in mind.

A Fragrance-Free Baby Wash & Shampoo That’s Super Hydrating

If you’re looking for an ultra-gentle and fragrance-free pick, this baby shampoo and wash from CeraVe is exactly what you need. The product leaves out all of the harsh ingredients you’d want to avoid in a product for your little one — including parabens, dyes, phthalates, and sulfates — and instead opts for skin-benefitting ingredients like hydrating hyaluronic acid and ceramides. This pick is also certified by the National Eczema Association, which recognizes products that are suitable for those with eczema or sensitive skin.

Despite being sulfate-free, users report that this shampoo and wash make quite a good lather. The shampoo is also tear-free, so you won't have to worry about irritating your little one’s eyes. And it should rinse clean with no residue left behind.

Enthusiastic Amazon review: "Bought this to bathe my newborn in. I have always loved CeraVe products because of their use of ceramides so I had high hopes for this baby wash. It’s perfect because it’s scent free, tear free, helps retain the skin’s moisture barrier, and so much more! [...] This gets them clean, help it stay moisturized, with no consequences! Pair with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream to keep baby’s skin soft and supple and free of dry patches!"

A Fan-Favorite Baby Shampoo & Wash

With more than 16,000 reviews on Amazon and a knockout 4.8-star rating overall, this Baby Dove wash and shampoo combo is a favorite on the site. And it makes total sense that parents love to use it on their children; this pick is free of dyes, parabens, sulfates, and phthalates (aka ingredients that are harsh for babies' delicate skin). The shampoo has glycerin to help moisturize, and many reviewers indicate that it has been a helpful product for sensitive skin, despite the fact that it's not fragrance-free. It’s also labeled as tear-free. This comes in a few other formats, too, including a fragrance-free version.

Enthusiastic Amazon review: "I love this product! I was afraid it wasn’t going to lather as good as I like because of the creamy constancy but it was great and very bubbly. I loved the scent. It wasn’t too strong and it was very soothing. It makes my baby’s skin super soft and great smelling all through the day. Her hair gets very greasy through the day and this is the only product I’ve found that actually keeps her hair clean! I will never run out of this!!!"

A Baby Shampoo & Wash With Lavender

Highly rated on Amazon with an impressive 4.8-star rating overall, this shampoo and body wash from The Honest Company is also a personal favorite in my home. Despite being sulfate-free, this pick has a thick, creamy lather that cleans well without being overly drying. The product smells amazing because it contains lavender, and it’s tear-free so it won’t irritate your little one’s eyes accidentally. The shampoo is made without phthalates, parabens, dyes, synthetic fragrances, and formaldehyde donors, so you can feel confident that it's safe to use on your baby.

The Honest Company also makes a lavender lotion that pairs well with this pick.

Enthusiastic Amazon review: "This product is incredibly gentle. I know it has accidentally gotten in my baby's eyes but she didn't even notice. The scent is very gentle and it goes on very smooth. I love the pump action for generating some gentle bubbles in the tub before I put baby in and is easy to use one handed."

A Baby Shampoo Formulated To Reduce Cradle Cap

Cradle cap is super common, and if your baby is one of the many to present symptoms, you may want to give this foaming baby shampoo from Mustela a try. The product is designed specifically to reduce or eliminate cradle cap by gently exfoliating with salicylic acid to clear the scaly, flaky skin. And the best part? Amazon reviewers back up this product’s effectiveness, giving it a whopping 4.7-star overall rating on the site after more than 5,000 customers have weighed in.

This baby shampoo is free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and fragrances. It’s tear-free so it shouldn't cause any eye irritation.

Enthusiastic Amazon review: "My son was 6 weeks and started getting cradle cap. So I got this and it was 99% gone with the first wash. I wet his hair and lathered this in and you can see the cradle cap, even in places I didn't know was there!!! I started combing it out and OMG!!!! There was so much. I rinsed it out and his hair was so soft and clean when it dried. The next day I seen some flakes on one side so I wet but hair and lathered with the shampoo and combed out the few flakes and rinsed it out. It's been several days and no more cradle cap!! Not one flake!!!! I absolutely love this stuff and highly recommend it. Buy it, try it, you won't be disappointed!!!"

A Vegan Baby Shampoo & Wash

If you prefer to use vegan products in your household, this shampoo and wash combo from Puracy is totally vegan and cruelty-free, so it has never been tested on animals. But honestly, the positives of this pick don’t end there. The shampoo and wash is free of harsh chemicals, including sulfates, formaldehyde, parabens, phosphates, perfumes, and dyes. It’s tear-free — so you don’t have to worry if the product accidentally ends up in your little one’s eyes — and pH-balanced.

This shampoo and wash contains fragrance; the citrus grove scent is a light, subtle blend of pink grapefruit essential oils and botanical extracts. This pick is labeled as both natural and hypoallergenic.

This shampoo and wash is also available in a two-pack, or in a large, 64-ounce refill bag.

Enthusiastic Amazon review: "The Puracy Natural Baby Shampoo & Body wash is our new household favorite. It's safe for kids, has all natural ingredients, and the scent is so nice! I've used many different brands over the years for my kids and this one keeps their skin soft and doesn't hurt their eyes. The packaging, bottle, and pump are also top quality. Thank you for such an amazing product, you guys know exactly what mom's need!!"

12 Best Nursing & Pumping Bras From Amazon, Target, H&M, & More

Along with a new baby, a new schedule, and a new sense of responsibility, becoming a mom is going to require some new bras, especially if you’re planning to nurse or pump. The best nursing and pumping bras are supportive yet comfortable, easy to get in and out of, and conveniently accommodate access for Bebe or various parts of a breast pump (ideally hands-free so you’re able to scroll, snooze, or read as you pump). Good news: many of the nursing bras available now are actually cute (even comfy lace is not out of the question), so you feel like you’re wearing something pretty as opposed to a bulky contraption.

So much of pregnancy is mysterious, but here’s a universal truth: the pregnancy and the post-partum period will change your boobs. You can shove most of those cute little bralettes and bandeau bras into the back of the drawer for now. While you’re breastfeeding, you’ll need one of these nursing and pumping bras that are soft enough to sleep in (because you’ll be dozing in a bra a lot) and that allow you one-handed, unbridled access to that "liquid gold." On this list you’ll find wireless bras, seamless bras, racerbacks, sports bras, and underwire bras, all designed with nursing and pumping in mind.

Dress your babe up on Easter morning and you'll be sure to get some amazing pictures of your little one digging through their basket from the Easter bunny. One tip: if your little one is crawling, opt for leggings, a jumper, or a romper so they don't get caught up in a dress while they're racing to find Easter eggs.

Easter Dresses & Outfits For Toddlers & Kids

Just because they've grown out of the baby stage does not mean they're too old for some fantastic Easter-worthy spring clothes. If you have an opinionated big kid, let them come with you to shop for their outfit, or pick it out yourself and let them choose whatever shoes, sweater, or accessories they'd like to wear with it. If you have a toddler, you can go just as big and obnoxious as you did when they were a baby (enjoy it while you can, because they'll be insisting on picking out their own mismatching clothes before you know it).
