The entertainment experience has also been elevated. SkyBar now features a state-of-the-art K-array immersive sound system, endorsed by David Guetta, offering crystal-clear, high-fidelity audio that surrounds the room. 9 Tips Every K-Pop Fan Should Know Before Buying Concert Tickets

With the recent news of BTS coming to Malaysia, it's safe to say excitement levels are at an all-time high. For many fans, attending a concert isn't just about the performance, it's a long-awaited moment years in the making.

However, before the lightsticks come out and the fan chants begin, there's one daunting hurdle to overcome: buying the tickets. K-pop concerts are notorious for selling out in minutes, so preparation is key. Here are some essential tips and hacks to keep in mind if you want to improve your chances of securing a seat.

1. Follow Official Announcements Closely

Source: Canva

Make sure you are following the artist, concert promoter, and venue on all official platforms. Turning on notifications ensures you won't miss important updates, including ticket sale times, presales, or surprise additional dates. Extra seat releases can also happen quietly, so staying informed gives you an edge.

2. Prepare Payment and Personal Information in Advance

Source: Canva

Have all your personal details and payment information ready before ticket sales begin. Many ticketing platforms only hold tickets for a few minutes at checkout, and delays can result in losing them entirely. Pre-saving your card details can make the difference between success and disappointment.

3. Be Flexible With Seating Choices

Facebook/Idea Live Arena

Going in with a rigid "must-have" seat section can significantly slow you down. Instead, keep an open mind and prioritise getting any seat available rather than the perfect one. Remember, being in the venue is far better than watching clips online later.

4. Ensure Fast and Stable Internet

Source: Pexels/thiago japyassu

A strong and stable internet connection is crucial when seconds matter. Use the fastest Wi-Fi available to you, and consider having mobile data as a backup in case of connectivity issues. Even a brief lag could cause you to miss out during high-traffic moments.

5. Team Up With Friends

Source: Canva

Buying tickets as a group can improve your odds. Assign each person a different seating category to aim for, then coordinate once someone successfully checks out. This "divide and conquer" approach can save valuable time during the ticket rush.

6. Consider a Trusted Ticketing Service

Source: Pexels/cottonbro studio

If you don't have access to fast internet or reliable help, some fans turn to ticketing services on platforms like Twitter. If you choose this route, take time to verify the seller by checking their history, reviews, and past transactions. Always proceed with caution and avoid accounts that seem suspicious or unverified.

7. Log In Early

Source: Canva

If you're purchasing tickets yourself, log in at least an hour before sales open. Many platforms use virtual waiting rooms, and entering early can improve your queue position. Once you're in, avoid refreshing unnecessarily as it could reset your place in line.

8. Use Multiple Devices and Browsers

Source: Pexels/Rickie-Tom Schünemann

If the ticketing site allows it, log in on multiple devices such as a laptop, tablet, or phone using different browsers. This increases your chances of getting through, but be careful not to overdo it. Excessive refreshing or duplicate actions may cause the system to flag your account.

9. Stay Calm Under Pressure

Source: Canva

Ticket buying can be overwhelming, especially when screens freeze and countdown timers tick away. Panicking often leads to mistakes such as selecting the wrong seats or failing payment checks. Stay focused, take a breath, and move through each step carefully.

Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur Opens In The Heart Of The Exchange TRX

Nestled within The Exchange TRX, the first-ever Kimpton in Malaysia has officially opened its doors. Officially dubbed Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, the 466-room hotel brings Kimpton's signature brand of modern luxury and thoughtful design to the city. The hotel takes inspiration from Kuala Lumpur's vibrancy, from interior design to culinary, right down to its name. Naluria is a combination of the Malay words 'naluri' (instinct) and 'ria' (joy).

"The opening of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur represents not only a new destination for the brand – it's a promise to deliver what we're globally recognised for: unique properties with truly unique guest experiences to match," said Paul Cunningham, General Manager. "From inspiring spaces and distinct dining to the brand's human hospitality, we look forward to creating unforgettable experiences and immersive human-to-human connections that capture the very heart and soul of Kuala Lumpur."

The interior design is headed by award-winning design studio, Hassell, who pulls inspiration from Malaysia's rich natural landscapes. Weaving natural elements with contemporary designs, the hotel welcomes guests into a spacious, high-ceiling lobby, and lush greenery. Earthy hues, forest-green tones, and organic textures integrate seamlessly into the rest of the hotel's interior.

The hotel offers 466 guestrooms and suites over 26 storeys, with iconic views of the city such as Merdeka 118 and KL Tower. Within the rooms and suites, monolithic surfaces, sinuous forms and abstract art of Malaysian rainforests are featured alongside leaf-shaped mirrors and gilded bathroom design, all complemented with luxury bath amenities from ARgENTUM and Penhaligon's.

In true Kimpton style, the hotel features standout dining and social spaces, quickly set to become locally-loved favourites. Guests can enjoy farm-to-table, fermentation-driven food at Tuai + Till. If one would like to grab a cuppa on-the-go, there's Rise & Grind, an espresso bar that embraces coffee artistry while honouring the local Kopitiam culture. Sabato, on the other hand, offers Italian-American menus.

(Video) Jay Chou’s Australian Open 1 Point Slam Match Ends In Defeat After Failing To Return A Serve

Earlier this week, fans were ecstatic to learn that Mandopop icon Jay Chou (周杰倫) would play at the Australian Open's 1 Point Slam competition, taking on professional tennis players. Unfortunately, the singer's dream of winning came to an end after an unreturnable ace.

On 14th January 2026 (Wednesday), Jay Chou made an appearance at the Australian Open as one of the participants for the 1 Point Slam competition. The match randomly pairs amateurs, celebrities, and professional players in a one-point-only game, with the winner taking home the AUD$1 million (approximately RM2.74 million) prize money.

SOURCES: INSTAGRAM (@gqtaiwan)

The match marks Jay Chou's professional match debut after years of showing off his tennis skills through social media. Unfortunately, the singer's skills are no match for his opponent, Australian amateur champion Petar Jovic. The 24-year-old previously won the Victorian State Final of the AO 1 Point Slam after beating seven opponents in a row.

In his match against the singer, Petar landed a clean ace that Jay Chou couldn't touch, immediately granting him the win. The two opponents then showed fine sportsmanship with a handshake and a hug. Afterwards, Jay gave a bit of fan service, throwing the sunglasses he wore on court into the crowd of fans.

SOURCE: INSTAGRAM (@udnstars)

Despite the immediate loss, Jay Chou remains in good spirits. In his Instagram Stories after the event, he quipped, "I was so sure that I wouldn't get to touch the ball. All I could do was give out autographs at the sideline." In another post, the singer joked that he also practised his rock-paper-scissors skills before the match so he could win the chance to serve.

If you're wondering, amateur player Jordan Smith ultimately emerged as the winner of the 1 Point Slam competition after beating pros like Jannik Sinner and Joanna Garland. Meanwhile, fans continue rooting for Jay Chou's tennis dreams.
