After more than two decades in the industry, Hong Kong actress Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) is no stranger to romance gossip. The star recently sparked interest among netizens after she was spotted getting close to a wealthy businessman.
Earlier this week, Elaine was spotted at the reopening of a restaurant in Causeway Bay, dining with a female friend. The two then headed to a pickleball court above the restaurant for a game. There, the actress met Hong Kong businessman Rocky Chan (陈文俊), a skilled pickleball player who is reportedly promoting the sport in Hong Kong.
According to reports, Elaine and Rocky teamed up for a doubles match, with the latter closely guiding the actress on how to play. Onlookers say the two grew increasingly close as the game went on, even whispering to strategise their moves. Eventually, Elaine and Rocky won their match, much to their excitement.
However, the pair's interaction only grew noticeable from then on. Reports say the two then hung out at the restaurant's bar area and continued chatting into the night. Elaine and Rocky then allegedly left the spot around 11pm, making off together by taxi. The actress and the businessman's intimate interaction sparked rumours of a budding romance.
It's worth noting that Elaine was also recently linked to actor Edward Chui (徐伟栋), the son of late actor Norman Chui (徐少強). The pair were reportedly in a low-key relationship, with them admitting to slowly getting to know each other to develop their relationship. However, with Elaine's recent interaction with Rocky, it seems that her romance with Edward has cooled off.
Since Elaine and Rocky's relationship is still in its very early stages, it's hard to tell how things will progress between the two. However, it's clear to many that the pair are interested in each other. Nevertheless, we wish them all the best.
