Since Malaysia is known for its food scene, it's no surprise that international stars who have visited the country have their personal favourite local dish or snack. For MAMAMOO (마마무) member Hwasa (화사), her favourite Malaysian treat is from our homegrown chocolate brand, Beryl's.
Earlier this week, Hwasa held a live broadcast on her official fan community to chat with fans. During the livestream, the idol brought up her recent favourite chocolate, adding that it's one of the tastiest chocolates she has eaten. Hwasa would then show the box on camera, revealing it to be Beryl's Tiramisu Almond Chocolate in the Dark Chocolate variant.

Hwasa mentioned to fans that the chocolate is from Malaysia before reiterating how delicious it is. It's believed the singer tried the chocolate the last time she was in Malaysia, which was earlier this January, for the K-Spark concert. The singer then revealed that she bought several boxes of the chocolate and shared them with her friends.
Local fans have reacted to the unexpected Malaysia shoutout, mostly happy to learn that Hwasa loves a Malaysian brand. Some also agreed with her, saying that the Tiramisu Almond Chocolate line is one of the best from Beryl's. Others quipped that the company should make Hwasa an ambassador to bring more attention to their brand.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Hwasa has shared about Beryl's Tiramisu Almond Chocolate. She previously posted a photo of the Milk Chocolate variant on her Instagram in a post about her visit to Malaysia. Fans say that she must really love the chocolate for her to mention it multiple times on different platforms.
With testimony from one of the biggest K-pop stars at the moment, it's clear that Beryl's Tiramisu Almond Chocolate is a must-try for chocolate lovers. And if the treat goes viral amongst fans, perhaps the brand should really consider the brand ambassador suggestion.
