It was a shock to many Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza fans after news circulated that the beloved singer was involved in a car accident. Thankfully, the national songstress is safe and sound, albeit with some minor injuries, and has even taken to social media to reassure her worried fans.
According to reports, the singer was involved in a four-car collision that happened along the MEX Highway (KM14.2) on 16th April 2026 (Thursday). Siti and her manager, Rozi Sangdewi, who was travelling in a separate car, were returning home from a performance at Sepang when the accident occurred. Rozi later shared that Siti sustained minor injuries to her leg and has received further treatment.

It’s unclear what or who caused the accident. Nevertheless, the news sparked major concern amongst fans. Footage and pictures of Siti during the crash have also circulated online. One netizen travelling along the highway at the time of the incident shared a photo of Rozi tending to Siti while on the side of the road. Meanwhile, dashcam footage of the crash showed the star stepping out of the car, looking visibly in pain.
Siti would later share a video on her social media accounts to update on her condition and reassure fans of her safety. In the video, the 47-year-old appeared with her son Afwa, who said to the camera, “Alhamdulilah, mum is alright”. Siti would continue, thanking fans for their well-wishes and prayers, noting that she didn’t sustain any major injuries. She also mentioned that she has already been treated for her injuries and will continue resting.
Online, fans continue to express concern for Siti. Many took to the comment section of her video to wish her a speedy recovery and send prayers for her well-being. Some also shared some get-well-soon wishes to her manager and staff. Funnily, a few fans even cracked innocuous jokes about the incident and pointed out how the entire nation was worried for the singer. Siti has also reacted to the jokes, laughing along with fans.
