The kings of K-Pop are back! Ahead of their upcoming “XX: COSMOS” world tour and anniversary, BIGBANG (빅뱅) has announced their long-awaited comeback with a new digital single.
On 10th August 2026 (Monday), midnight KST, BIGBANG unveiled the first teaser for their new digital single, “BiiiG”. The teaser images feature the group’s three members, G-Dragon, Taeyang (태양) and Daesung. According to the announcement, the new song is set for release on 19th August 2026 (Wednesday), which coincides with the group’s 20th anniversary.
“BiiiG” is BIGBANG’s first group release in over four years, following the release of “Still Life ((봄여름가을겨울)” in April 2022. However, G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung did release the collaboration track, “Home Sweet Home”, for the former’s “Übermensch” album. This new single also marks the group’s first comeback as a trio.
YG Entertainment has commented on the new release, saying, “‘BiiiG’ is the song that captures BIGBANG’s present as they celebrate their 20th anniversary.” The agency added, “We hope the public will look forward to another musical spectrum from BIGBANG, who have built their own musical world throughout the years.”
The digital single is just one of the many initiatives that BIGBANG has prepared for their 20th anniversary. As previously mentioned, the group is set to hold their anniversary world tour, which includes stops in Asia, Europe and the United States. The trio will also return to Malaysia for the tour, performing at TM Stadium Nasional on 9th January 2027 (Saturday).
At the same time, the group will also hold a special exhibition in Seoul. The two-part media art project, titled “Cosmos”, will celebrate BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary and showcase the band’s 20-year history. The prequel exhibition will take place later this month at the Lotte World Tower, while the main show will be held later this year.
Since a 20th anniversary is a massive milestone, it’s no surprise that BIGBANG is going all out with the celebrations. We can’t wait to hear “BiiiG” and see what the group has in store for the VIPs. Are you excited for all the anniversary plans?
