Bella Astillah and Syed Saddiq are having an October wedding! After much speculation, the celebrity-politician couple recently confirmed they’ll be officially tying the knot before the end of the year.
On Tuesday evening (18th August 2026), Bella and Syed Saddiq appeared on the infotainment programme “MeleTOP” as special guests. The couple previously teased they were making a special announcement during the programme, drawing a lot of attention from fans and the media.
As it turns out, the special announcement was the date for the pair’s solemnisation ceremony. Bella and Syed Saddiq confirmed that they’re tying the knot on 10th October 2026 (Saturday). The programme also aired a special announcement video featuring the engaged couple dressed in traditional attire and the date of the ceremony.
Following the announcement, Bella and Syed Saddiq shared more information about their upcoming solemnisation. According to the couple, the ceremony will take place on Level 118 of the Menara Merdeka Maybank, the second tallest building in the world. The theme of the ceremony is all-white, infused with Arabic and Islamic elements.
Bella and Syed Saddiq will also hold a separate wedding reception in the same month, with other ceremonies in Kuala Lumpur, Muar and Sabah, where the couple are from. Notably, Syed Saddiq revealed that the preparation for their wedding only began after his court case concluded in July.
Since there are less than two months until the wedding, Syed Saddiq said they have to speed up the planning to ensure everything goes smoothly. The 33-year-old also showered his fiancée with praise, saying Bella took up most of the planning responsibilities despite both of them being occupied with their jobs.
Fans have since reacted to the wedding date announcement, wishing the couple all the best in their planning. Many also hoped that Bella and Syed Saddiq would livestream the event so fans could also join in the celebrations. All in all, the public expressed joy that the couple are finally tying the knot.
