There hasn’t been a peaceful day in the KATSEYE fandom as of late, and it seems there’s more controversy recently. Earlier this week, rumours circulated that the group may have been sharing confidential information about their groupmate Manon and her hiatus.

In case you’re unaware, Manon has been on hiatus since early this year, with her label HYBE x Geffen (HxG) citing health issues. However, fans generally believe the agency deliberately placed the idol on hiatus, with many claiming it was discrimination. Some even alleged that the company forced Manon into a hiatus to dismiss her from KATSEYE. Unfortunately, a recent rumour seemed to add weight to the fans’ claims.

Earlier this week, a clip of social media personalities Trisha Paytas and Oscar Gracey discussing KATSEYE’s current situation circulated online. In the clip, the two claimed to have some inside information about the group and Manon’s hiatus. While Trisha and Oscar never go into detail about the “tea” they’ve received, the clip sparked accusations that the other KATSEYE members have been sharing information about Manon to influencers.

Adding to this controversy is an influencer named Harry Daniels. There were allegations that Lara and Megan unfollowed Harry’s Instagram after learning that he and other influencers had been leaking information they had shared in secret about KATSEYE and Manon. In a possible act of retaliation, Harry shared a post on Instagram, tagging Megan’s private account, seemingly trying to expose her.

Harry did spark backlash for the post, with some calling him petty for sharing Megan’s personal account over unfollow. However, the bulk of the criticism in this entire situation falls upon KATSEYE, particularly Lara and Megan. Many slammed them for sharing details about Manon’s situation to influencers, arguing that the girls may be involved in their groupmate’s hiatus. Some even claimed that the group’s loyalty has fallen through.

It’s worth noting that everything remains an allegation, and none of the claims has concrete evidence to back them. Nevertheless, fans continue to express disappointment towards KATSEYE, while still wishing Manon the best and for her return.

BALLISTIK BOYZ Strips Back The Mask Of Romance In Newest EP “BEAT”

BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE is set to kick off its full-scale 2026 activities with the release of their new EP, “BEAT”, dropping on 29th April (Wednesday). To celebrate the launch, the group made the collection available digitally starting 24th April (Friday), giving their fans, BALLY’S, an early access to what is shaping up to be the group’s most emotionally candid project to date.

With four entirely new tracks, “BEAT” marks a creative evolution for the group, presenting a curated set of love songs that explore romantic emotions from a male perspective with raw honesty. The project was born from a challenge by their label to tackle the concept of “obsessive love”.

“This particular theme was a first for us”, says member MASAHIRO SUNADA, or affectionately known as MASA. “We felt that it was something only we—having accumulated the experience we have now—could truly express. When we heard the demo for “All you need is me”, the members locked eyes during the intro as if to say, ‘This is it!’ By the chorus, we knew it was fate.”

The EP arrives after the group’s recent single “Perfect,” which centred on the theme of “everyday romance.” While the track highlighted the warmth and tenderness of ordinary moments shared with someone special, “BEAT” delves deeper into the more complex emotions that lie beneath the surface. The choreography for the lead track “All you need is me” was created by Brian Puspos, renowned for his work with BTS and Jungkook.

Reflecting on the group’s growth, MASA shared that “BEAT” represents the next phase of their career. “This EP is packed with the music we want to deliver right now—songs that could only be fully expressed by giving 100 out of 100. Having entered the second chapter of BALLISTIK BOYZ, this work is a statement of our resolve and determination.”

“BEAT” is now available on major streaming platforms starting 24th April 2026 (Friday), with the physical EP release following on 29th April 2026 (Wednesday). The group will embark on the BALLISTIK BOYZ LIVE TOUR 2026 “BEAT BLAST Z”, scheduled to run across Japan from July to August 2026.
