Good news for the EYEKONS! KATSEYE’s Sophia Laforteza is officially returning to the group in January 2027, following a break to focus on her mental health and wellbeing.
The announcement was made by the group’s management and labels, HYBE and Geffen, confirming that Sophia will resume group activities during the first week of January 2027.
While fans will have to wait a little longer to see her back on stage, her return is now officially on the calendar.
Sophia Will Miss KATSEYE’s Upcoming Tour
Although Sophia is preparing for her comeback, she will not be joining KATSEYE for the remaining performances and promotional activities scheduled this year.
This includes the group’s upcoming North American leg of THE WILDWORLD TOUR, which begins on 13th October and runs until 28th November 2026.

In their statement, HYBE and Geffen shared that Sophia has been focusing on her health with their full support and resources. They also expressed excitement about welcoming her back as the group enters a new chapter in 2027.
Fellow member Manon Bannerman, who previously announced her own mental health hiatus, will also be absent from the North American tour dates.

Sophia first announced her hiatus in August, explaining that stepping away was not an easy decision but that she needed to prioritize her health.
