Bruce Lee’s Widow Linda Lee Cadwell Sparks Interest With Recent Public Appearance

2026 marks the 53rd anniversary of beloved martial artist and actor Bruce Lee's (李小龙) death. After his passing, his widow, Linda Lee Cadwell, honoured his work and life by publishing biographies and establishing the Bruce Lee Foundation.

Recently, the 81-year-old made a public appearance in Seattle, sparking interest in her latest condition. Earlier this month, Linda and members of the Jun Fan Gung Fu Academy met up at a luncheon to celebrate her birthday, which was on 21st March (Saturday). According to the post, the group talked about various topics during the meeting, including Jun Fan Gung Fu, the martial art style founded by Bruce Lee.

During the event, Linda wore a bright yellow top, making her stand out amid a sea of black t-shirts. Her hair is completely silver, but is still quite thick and styled elegantly. While her skin showed slight signs of ageing, her complexion is fair and blemish-free. She also appeared energetic when speaking to the members of the Jun Fan Gung Fu Academy, exuding a healthy and graceful temperament.

Many netizens and Bruce Lee fans have reacted to the gathering, sharing their birthday wishes for Linda in the comment section. Some also thanked her for dedicating her life to continuing the late actor's legacy and protecting his work. According to reports, Linda's public appearances over the past few years are often events related to her work with the Bruce Lee Foundation or to promote his martial arts teachings.

Bruce and Linda's daughter, actress Shannon Lee (李香凝), also has an active role in continuing the martial artist's legacy. Besides being the president of the Bruce Lee Foundation, the 56-year-old has also authored books based on her father's philosophies and was the executive producer of Cinemax's "Warrior". Bruce developed the show's concept before his sudden passing.

While it has been years since Bruce Lee's unfortunate passing, it's great that his family have taken up the role to continue his legacy. We wish Linda, Shannon and the Jun Fan Gung Fu Academy all the best in their work to carry on his name.
