Looking for the perfect short getaway? StarCruises is raising the bar with three special 3 Night round-trip Kaohsiung–Penghu cruises, departing from Hong Kong's Ocean Terminal aboard the Star Voyager. These new sailings replace the previous 3 Night Sanya itineraries, offering guests the opportunity to explore two captivating destinations in a single voyage, combining cultural discovery with scenic coastal experiences.
Departing on 12th and 19th April and 10th May 2026, these limited sailings will take travellers to the dynamic port city of Kaohsiung and the breathtaking island paradise of Penghu, an increasingly sought-after destination that is less frequently included in standard travel itineraries with limited direct cruise access.

"These specially curated sailings are designed for travellers seeking a seamless and enriching short escape," said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. "Kaohsiung and Penghu offer two distinct yet complementary experiences—from a lively harbour city rich in culture and flavours, to a picturesque island escape defined by breathtaking coastal scenery. Together, they create the perfect combination for a short cruise holiday."
What makes this journey especially appealing is the ease and convenience of cruising from Hong Kong with StarCruises. With no airport queues and no need for constant packing and unpacking, guests can simply step onboard and enjoy a seamless journey between destinations. From the energetic cityscape of Kaohsiung to the relaxed island charm of Penghu, the itinerary brings two contrasting experiences together effortlessly in one voyage.

Arriving at 2:30 PM in Kaohsiung, guests can immerse themselves in a dynamic city where creativity, culture, and cuisine come together. Highlights include a stroll along the scenic Love River, visits to the iconic Dragon and Tiger Pagodas at Lotus Pond, and exploration of the creative Pier-2 Art Center. With the ship departing at 10:30 PM, there is ample time to experience the city as it comes alive in the evening. As night falls, Kaohsiung transforms with bustling night markets and an array of local delicacies, offering a vibrant feast for the senses.
Sailing onward to Penghu, the ship arrives at 9:00 AM, allowing guests to enjoy a full day ashore before departing at 4:00 PM. Penghu offers a striking contrast, inviting travellers to slow down and reconnect with nature. Known for its crystal-clear waters, dramatic basalt cliffs and unspoiled beaches, this island destination is a hidden gem in the region. Guests can explore traditional fishing villages, visit historic temples and savour fresh local seafood while soaking in the island's relaxed coastal atmosphere. The cruise will return to Hong Kong at 11:00 AM on Wednesdays.

With the introduction of this new 3 Night itinerary, the 2 Night Xiamen cruise departing from Hong Kong on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM will also feature extended time in Xiamen, allowing guests more time to enjoy the destination from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM before returning to Hong Kong on Friday at 2:30 PM. All 2 Night Weekend High Seas Cruise departing on Fridays will depart at 8:00 PM.
Bookings for the 3 Night Kaohsiung–Penghu cruise will open on 1st April 2026 via https://ift.tt/lCZitEh or through the cruise line's preferred travel agents, while other sailings are readily available for booking on the website.
