Nothing is going to stop the rich and famous from making their reservations at the White Lotus – not even back-to-back murders. It's official: after the vacationers of the previous season leave Thailand, a whole new set of guests will be checking in for yet another season of "The White Lotus". Weeks before season 3 aired, HBO confirmed that Mike White's dark comedy would be returning for a fourth season.
While plenty of details haven't been disclosed, we can probably safely assume that season 4 will be brimming with even more mystery, desire, and (clearly) death. Here's what we know so far, from returning cast members to filming details.
Who's in "The White Lotus" Season 4?

So far, ten names have been announced for season 4's cast: Oscar-nominated British actress Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown", "Harry Potter"), British comedian Steve Coogan ("Alan Partridge", "Philomena"), musician-actress AJ Michalka ("The Goldbergs"), Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig ("Vikings", "The Hunger Games"), Australian actor Caleb Jonte Edwards ("Black Snow"), American actress Ari Graynor ("Bad Teacher", "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist"), rising actor Dylan Ennis ("Hamlet"), actress-comedian Sandra Bernhard ("Marty Supreme", "Severance"), American actor Chris Messina ("The Mindy Project", "Sharp Objects"), and American model Marissa Long.
However, the details about their characters are yet to be revealed. While we wait for the new cast members to trickle in, it's worth remembering that creator Mike White has been known to bring back a few familiar faces, too, like Tanya, Greg, and Belinda.
Additionally, it's always possible that some previous White Lotus guests could book a return trip. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published shortly before season 3's finale, White said he'd love to do an all-star season.
Where is "The White Lotus" Season 4 going to take place?
The next chapter of "The White Lotus" will unfold in Saint-Tropez, a French Riviera town on the southeastern coast of France. One of the places that will be used for production is the Château de La Messardière, an old palace-turned-hotel that definitely fits the White Lotus vibe pretty perfectly. The hotel offers 86 rooms and suites, multiple pools, a private beach club with direct access to the sand, and even a miniature train that ferries younger guests around the grounds. A suite can go from $3,000 to $8,000 a night. There has been speculation about a pit-stop in Paris during this season, too.
What will "The White Lotus" Season 4 be about?
As always, this season once again will follow a group of White Lotus hotel guests and employees over the span of a week. Each season has delivered a suspenseful mystery – with a dead body, of course – leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next shocking twist. "For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular but there's always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels," White said at the end of season three in the Unpacking the Episode on MAX.
When is "The White Lotus" Season 4 coming out?
A 2027 release date is likely, as it's expected to start production in late April to the end of October this year.
