The Genting Guest Xperience Centre (GGXC) is Resorts World Genting’s (RWG) latest innovation in guest engagement, a state-of-the-art immersive gallery that invites visitors to journey through the remarkable story of the Genting Group. More than just an exhibition, GGXC is a dynamic showcase that blends history, technology, and storytelling to highlight the Group’s legacy, present achievements, and future aspirations.
Spanning over 5,700 sqft, GGXC is open to public by appointment, with limited walk-in slots subject to availability. Visitors are encouraged to book at least one day in advance, with a maximum of 15 pax per slot. The centre is designed for visitors aged 13 years and above.
Operating daily from 10AM to 6PM, each experience is carefully curated to provide an interactive and memorable journey that reflects the Group’s pioneering spirit and global footprint.
The journey begins at The Reception, where guests are greeted by an impressive LED panel that alternates between a cascading waterfall framed by the Genting 60th Anniversary logo and GIVA, the Genting Intellectual Virtual Assistant. The waterfall symbolises continuity, renewal, and growth while also playing tribute to the natural highland environment that has always been central to RWG’s identity.
When the screen transitions to GIVA, guests are introduced to a sleek digital interface displaying real-time weather updates unique to Genting Highlands. Guests then check in with a guest ambassador at their pre-booked appointment time using their QR code, with walk-in welcome subject to availability.
From the reception, visitors step into Clouds City, where a projection mapping show on a detailed scale model bring the highlands to life in spectacular detail. The journey begins at Gohtong Jaya before gradually ascending along Genting Main Access Road toward the mountaintop, 6,000 feet above sea level.
Zone 3, also called Legacy Lens, offers a deeper connection to the origins of the Genting Group through the life and vision of its founder, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong. Visitors can watch a presentation that recounts his journey from China to Malaysia and how his vision transformed a remote mountain into a world-class destination.
The centrepiece of this zone is an interactive table inspired by the late Tan Sri’s working desk. Featuring meaningful items such as his white hat, walking stick, and the foundation stone, visitors can activate facts behind each artefact through an interactive touch experience.
In addition to the interactive table experience, visitors can explore a display of historical uniforms from RWG’s hotel front office and casino teams, spanning from 1997 to the present day.
Glamour Walk highlights the RWG’s commitment to creating a positive impact beyond its core businesses. This zone showcases Life Science initiatives, including pioneering research and therapies in neurology and stem cells, alongside the Genting Bersama Malaysia programme, which reflects the Group’s CSR pillars, including governance, marketplace support, caring for people, and environmental protection. Adding a touch of modern engagement, this zone also features an Instagrammable wall, offering visitors the perfect backdrop to capture memorable moments and share their GGXC journey online.
Before entering the Grand Finale theatre, visitors are introduced to a special time capsule that counts down to the year 2040. Sealed within is a personal message from Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, the current Executive Chairman, addressed to the future generation entrusted with carrying forward the Genting legacy.
Zone 5, the Grand Finale Show is a 180-degree immersive theatre that concludes the GGXC journey. Guests are treated to two captivating videos: Our Presence, which highlights the Genting Group’s global footprint, and the 60th Anniversary video, celebrating six decades of vision and growth. The zone also features a performance dashboard, offering real-time insights into visitor statistics across all hotels, theme parks, and cable cars.
Once the show ends, guests are invited to continue their exploration in self-guided mode. Interactive wall displays provide a closer look at the Group’s businesses, allowing visitors to discover its initiatives and accomplishments in greater depth. This experience not only celebrates the Group’s international presence but also reinforces its forward-looking vision, leaving visitors with a lasting impression of the Genting Group’s ambition, resilience, and impact across industries worldwide.
The final stop of the experience is the Partner Zone, which showcases the Genting Group’s commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles through an interactive centrepiece known as the Sphere.
Through GGXC, RWG reaffirms its commitment to innovation, heritage preservation, sustainability, and guest engagement by creating a space where history, technology, and the future converge.
