Hong Kong celebrity couple Roxanne Tong (湯洛雯) and Kenneth Ma (馬國明) have been married since 2023, but have yet to grow their family. Recently, fans noted a change in Roxanne’s appearance, sparking rumours that the actress may be expecting.
Earlier this week, Roxanne and Kenneth were spotted shopping in a mall with Roxanne’s father and younger sister. While the outing was nothing unusual, Roxanne piqued netizens’ interest with her rounder figure. Paired with her loose-fitting clothing, netizens began speculating that the actress may be pregnant with her first child.
Roxanne and Kenneth are no strangers to pregnancy rumours. Since the couple tied the knot in 2023, they’ve had to repeatedly deny the allegations, especially once the public noticed a slight change in Roxanne’s figure. Kenneth has also denied the recent speculation in an interview, instead providing a possible explanation for his wife’s rounder appearance.
According to Kenneth, Roxanne recently consulted a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner to improve her insomnia. While the medication prescribed did improve her sleep quality, it’s also possible that it has caused a slight weight gain. Kenneth said that his wife has also acknowledged her sudden weight gain and said she wants to start losing some.
The actor also clarified his wife’s outfit, saying she prefers to wear looser clothing in the summer to avoid feeling uncomfortable from sweating. Ending the interview, Kenneth once again thanked the public for their concern, adding that he and Roxanne will inform the public once they have good news to share.
