K-pop, Formula 1 and anime in one collaboration? Now that it is a crossover worth getting excited about!
TWICE’s TZUYU has been announced as the voice behind the official theme song for the Atlassian Williams F1 Team x DAN DA DAN collaboration, bringing her signature vocals to a project that combines the excitement of motorsport with the supernatural world of anime.
The song and its accompanying music video are set to be released in early 2027, ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix. But fans will not have to wait until then to see TZUYU become part of the action as she is also heading to Singapore to celebrate the collaboration with Williams.
From The K-pop Stage To The Formula 1 Track
Known for her performance with TWICE and her growing identity as a solo artist, TZUYU is taking on a new musical project that brings together three very different worlds.
Her upcoming theme song will celebrate the raw speed of Williams and the supernatural power of DAN DA DAN, creating a musical connection between racing, anime, and K-pop.
Speaking about the collaboration, TZUYU shared her excitement about being part of the project.
“I am truly honoured and excited to be part of this collaboration with Atlassian Williams F1 Team and DAN DA DAN, and to perform the official theme song. Bringing together the worlds of Formula 1, anime, and music makes this project unique, and I believe this collaboration will deliver something truly exciting and memorable for audiences worldwide.
Williams is equally excited to have her on board. Luke Timmins, Merchandise and Licensing Director at Atlassian Williams F1 Team, said TZUYU was the voice they had imagined for a collaboration celebrating supernatural speed.
He also shared that her involvement offers another opportunity for the team to reach millions of new fans beyond Formula 1.
TZUYU Is Heading To The Singapore Grand Prix
Before the song officially arrives, fans can look forward to seeing TZUYU join Williams at the Singapore Grand Prix in October 2026 to celebrate the collaboration.
The race weekend will feature special activities at Atlassian William F1 Team Fan Zone presented by Kraken, giving visitors the chance to explore the world of Williams x DAN DA DAN.
There will also be new exclusive fan merchandise featuring Kokone, an anomaly from TZUYU’s journey into the world of speed and the supernatural. Fans will be able to shop for exclusive merchandise online through the Fan Zone as well.
For fans of TWICE, anime, and motorsport, the Singapore event brings all three interest together in one place.
A Collaboration That Started At The Japanese Grand Prix
The partnership between Williams and DAN DA DAN first launched at the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix, bringing together the nine-time Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship-winning team and one of the world’s biggest anime properties.
Since then, the collaboration has introduced Sector Zero, an exclusive fan platform, released special merchandise and welcomed fans at the LA Anime Expo earlier this summer.
With TZUYU now joining the project, the collaboration is expanding beyond racing and anime into the world of music.
Hiroshi Kamei, producer of the DAN DA DAN TV anime, said the project gives the series an opportunity to explore something new beyond anime. He hopes that combining the energy of DAN DA DAN with Formula 1 and music will introduce the series to even more people around the world.
Meanwhile, Sayako Niimi, Director of Lead Global Partnership at Sector Zero, described TZUYU’S voice as the heartbeat of the collaboration. She shared that what began as an unexpected meeting between F1 and anime is now growing into a bigger project that connects communities across different cultures.
The Countdown To 2027 Begins
With TZUYU taking the lead on the official theme song, Williams x DAN DA DAN is preparing to enter its next chapter.
The upcoming track and music video are scheduled for release in early 2027, ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, while the Singapore Grand Prix celebrations will give fans an early taste of what the collaboration has planned.
From the racetrack to the anime world and now the recording studio, this is one crossover bringing three fan communities together.
